Leigh McAdam is a Calgary-based adventure travel blogger and the founder of HikeBikeTravel.com. Launched in 2009, the platform provides a comprehensive resource for outdoor enthusiasts, offering a blend of detailed stories, practical tips, and insights into diverse destinations. An award-winning photographer and prolific author, McAdam uses the blog to guide readers through a wide range of outdoor experiences, from challenging treks to scenic cycling routes. Her extensive experience in outdoor exploration is also reflected in three published books: *Discover Canada: 100 Inspiring Outdoor Adventures* (2014), *125 Nature Hot Spots in Alberta* (2018), and *200 Nature Hot Spots in Alberta* (2022). With a lifelong curiosity for geography, McAdam has trekked across more than 54 countries and every continent except Antarctica, seeking out unique landscapes and challenging trails.
