Hot 8 Yoga

Sun-drenched studio with floor-to-ceiling windows, running a packed schedule of intensely hot yoga and sculpt classes. The post-class cool-down is a signature ritual – a chilled, eucalyptus-infused face towel.

You’ll find this Hot 8 Yoga on the second floor of a commercial building on Wilshire Boulevard, a location defined by its two massive studio rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows. All that glass floods the space with natural light, a signature of the Koreatown studio. The core of the operation is a high-tech heating and air purification system that keeps the rooms consistently hot and humid while controlling oxygen levels and filtering the air. Inside, the layout is clean and functional, with spacious changing rooms that have secure, user-coded lockers and private, high-pressure showers stocked with eco-friendly toiletries. This setup makes it a practical stop for anyone fitting a class in around a workday. A quiet meditation room is also available for use. Classes cover a wide spectrum of styles, but all take place in the heat. The schedule includes everything from traditional, music-free sequences like the 90-minute 26 & 2 to more dynamic, fitness-focused workouts. Yoga Sculpt and Strength classes incorporate free weights and cardio, while Barre uses lighter weights for a non-impact workout. For a slower pace, there are also Yin classes, which use long-held seated and lying postures. A few practical details make a big difference here. The studio validates parking for two hours in the building’s integrated garage, which has entrances on both Shatto Place and Vermont Avenue. You can rent Manduka mats and towels at the front desk, and there’s filtered water with Real Salt to help with electrolytes. The visit ends with a distinct ritual – a chilled, eucalyptus-infused face towel to cool down with after class.
