Katherine Cortes

Katherine Cortes, a Filipina travel and food blogger based in the Philippines, writes "Tara Lets Anywhere." Initially an online travel diary shared with her partner, Hali, the blog launched in late 2015 and evolved into a comprehensive resource for travel enthusiasts, offering detailed guides and insights. Before dedicating herself full-time to blogging, Cortes drew on her professional background as a writer, editor, and software engineer, contributing to various platforms including TripZilla Philippines and Buzzfeed. Through "Tara Lets Anywhere," Cortes documents her explorations, providing readers with travel guides, detailed itineraries, and insider tips. Her content primarily focuses on destinations across the Philippines and other Asian countries. Her travel philosophy emphasizes discovering tranquil, visually appealing locations that remain less commercialized, often highlighting serene beaches, unique snorkeling spots, and immersive nature experiences over traditional city tours or well-trodden cultural sites. She is also a strong advocate for sustainable tourism and responsible travel, actively promoting voluntourism as a meaningful way to make a positive impact on the communities visited. Her work consistently aims to share new adventures and provide her audience with practical, actionable information.
