Raymond J. Hutaff is Vice President of Valley Isle Excursions, Inc., a Maui-based tour company he co-acquired with his wife, Yolanda P. Hutaff, in 2002. His deep connection to the Hawaiian islands stems from his upbringing on Oahu and family roots spanning over 150 years. A U.S. Army veteran and master mechanic, he leads the company, established in 1997. Valley Isle Excursions offers educational, vehicle-based tours, with a core mission to foster mindful travelers and act as "Ambassadors of Aloha." This involves sharing a genuine understanding of the aloha spirit and encouraging guests to "travel pono" – with care and respect for Maui’s community, environment, and host culture. Valley Isle Excursions offers immersive Maui tours, highlighting the iconic Road to Hana and Haleakalā Sunrise experiences. Knowledgeable guides enhance these journeys by sharing Hawaiian history, culture, and legends. The company utilizes custom-designed luxury vans with elevated seating and expansive windows to ensure comfortable travel through Maui's diverse landscapes. An eco-friendly operator, Valley Isle Excursions is a member of the Sustainable Tourism Association of Hawaii and was the first Hawaii-based company to complete the Hawaii Green Business Program.
