Pincode Delhi makes its mission clear right in its name. This small, cozy spot on Mahakali Caves Road in Andheri East is a focused effort to recreate the specific flavors of North Indian cuisine – particularly Delhi’s famous street food – for a Mumbai audience. The interior is compact but vibrant and colourful, creating a casual, neighborhood feel from the moment you walk in. The space is split between a main ground-floor area and an upstairs dining section with air conditioning, which is where small groups usually settle in. While the menu covers a range of classic Punjabi dishes, the restaurant has built its reputation on one thing in particular: the Delhi-style Chole Bhature. It’s the primary reason people seek this place out, and along with the Amritsari Kulche, it serves as the benchmark for the kitchen’s authenticity. Beyond these staples, the menu offers a solid list of other well-executed dishes. Appetizers include a popular Palak Patta Chaat and different vegetarian kebabs like Dahi ke Kebab and Veg Galouti. For breads, the flaky Aloo Pyaaz Chur Chur Naan is a standout, often paired with the rich, slow-cooked Dal Makhani or a creamy Mughlai Paneer Lababdar. You’ll also find several Soya Chaap preparations, a true Delhi specialty that’s harder to find done well elsewhere. To round out the meal, there are traditional drinks like a thick Punjabi Patiala Lassi and savory Masala Chaas.
