The Fine Art of Design is set back just enough from the street to feel tucked away, but the window displays make it easy to spot. Inside, racks of vintage clothing fill the single-level space, sorted by type – dresses along one wall, jackets and skirts on another, with shoes and handbags arranged in between. The layout leaves plenty of room to move, so it never feels cramped or crowded. Mannequins in the front windows highlight the latest arrivals, and the displays rotate often enough that regulars notice something new every time they stop in. Most of the inventory spans from the late ‘60s through the early 2000s – designer labels, high-end vintage, and a steady mix of consignment pieces. Accessories have their own section: jewelry cases sit near the register, with shelves of bags and belts close by. Toward the back, a sale rack holds discounted finds for those willing to dig. Fitting rooms line one side of the shop, easy to spot and always available for try-ons. The space stays clean and organized, with a retro vibe that matches the era of the clothes – mid-century fixtures, simple displays, and just enough color to keep things lively without feeling overdone. Air conditioning hums quietly, a relief in the desert heat. Parking is straightforward, with a lot out front and street spots along the side. The shop draws anyone after authentic vintage, but it’s set up for slow browsing – no rush, no pressure. Most people make a full circuit of the racks, double back to the front, and often leave with something unexpected in hand.
