Aramsa

Modern spa set within a national park, designed as a complete escape from the city. Treatment suites have floor-to-ceiling glass and private gardens – some with outdoor sunken bathtubs.

My day isn’t complete without kopi and kaya toast. Hawker centers are basically my second home.

You’ll find Aramsa tucked away inside Bishan Park 2, where the entire spa is designed to feel like a natural part of the landscape. Cobblestone paths wind through themed gardens planted with ferns, bromeliads, and scented herbs like ginger. The building itself has a sloped green metal roof that helps it blend into the park’s dense greenery, creating a seamless transition from the public space into a private retreat. The transition from outside to in is deliberately blurred. Open-air walkways connect the twelve treatment rooms, each with floor-to-ceiling glass panels that look directly out onto the foliage. This design gives the whole place the feel of a modern, bohemian villa rather than a typical urban spa. Many of these rooms have their own private gardens, and some feature an outdoor sunken bathtub – a popular choice for couples or those celebrating a special occasion. The spa menu is built around treatments that often use freshly prepared ingredients. Signature rituals like the ‘Garden Harmony’ incorporate a Malay-inspired scrub with ginger and clove, while other packages combine massages, facials, and body exfoliations. The treatments use products from brands like Skinceuticals and Elemis, and there’s also a Vichy shower room for water therapy treatments. Beyond the spa, the facility houses air-conditioned yoga studios with glass walls for regular classes and wellness workshops. After a treatment, the standard ritual is to relax with a complimentary pot of ginger tea and some biscuits, usually served in a quiet lounge area.
