My day isn’t complete without kopi and kaya toast. Hawker centers are basically my second home.

Artyzen Singapore is built as a modern reinterpretation of a classic tropical mansion, stacked vertically into a 20-storey tower just off Orchard Road. The design preserves the essence of the 1940s villa that once stood on this site, with a series of green sky terraces and private balconies creating a distinct vertical oasis. Its facade is a mix of terracotta-colored, custom-perforated aluminum and black steel detailing, giving the structure a warm, textured look. Inside, the sense of space is immediate, thanks to four-meter-high ceilings in every room. The design uses a recurring arch motif throughout the property, with polished terrazzo floors, bamboo screens, and commissioned art from Singaporean artists referencing the island’s Peranakan heritage. Each of the 142 rooms has its own balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows, but they're known for being exceptionally quiet with effective blackout blinds. The layout is also practical – the bathrooms and shower rooms are separate, and some showers contain a bathtub. The building is crowned by a rooftop garden and a 25-metre cantilevered infinity pool. It has a partially transparent base, giving it a floating appearance over the city and making it a clear focal point of the property. For dining, the all-day restaurant, Café Quenino, serves breakfast à la carte, and a key detail is that there are no restrictions on how many dishes you can order. For short trips around the neighborhood, a complimentary chauffeured ride in a Mercedes S-Class is available.
